Dont worry about the Chilean Miners, who cares, lead story TV1 - Netball - the most important thing in the world - NOT.
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

The Ruf, The Ruf, The Ruf is on Fire!!

Enter much Halberg angst also involving the rugby 7s (along with All Whites).

Another time, another thread, But she'll be a doozy, that discussion.

That was an impressive come back ooooooh. So Buffy, which story do you think is more important? I'll front up and say, the Miners imho.

Yeah i think the Miners are more important but so bloody what? It's hardly a travesty is it? I'd expect dairyflat to react like that but not you.

Three for me, and two for them.

well it is a travesty, these guys are going to be going through a lot now, dealing with the media, law suits, employment etc. That they are all out safely is brilliant, now where they go to from here is important.

I think it was very generous of TV1 to respect their privacy by not putting them as the lead story on the news.

On another note, maybe I am being a bit cold but I really don't care that much about the miners.  I am happy that they made it out and all that, but the outpouring of grief is staggering.  When I was watching some of it on the news the other day when the first one came out there was an email to the BBC studio about how someone was driving to work and heard the news the first one was out and had to pull the car over as they burst into tears. The email stated they had no vested interest in the story - they knew none of the minors, etc - so why all the emotion?

It is like the whole world has become scousers.

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight

Quite true. Happy for them and all but what a media circus. Yet you hear f**k all when another 50 poor bastards in Iraq get blown to bits in a bomb blast. No happy ending and therefore no money in that.
