Who are your favourites?

Saw this line up of Ricky Gervais, Jerry Seinfeld, Chris Rock, Louis CK for a new HBO show 'Talking Funny'

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6N89yqzrNlc
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y3Ar57R8OvQ

that made me think is this the best of the best at the moment, who's missing?

Loved Ricky in the Office, Extras and with Karl on the Ricky Gervais Show, Louis CK is top quality, Chris Rock's stand-up is good. And Jerry Seinfeld is amazing, although he is always doing his material never really just talking.

Russell Peters is pretty good, although pretty much all of his stuff is racist.
But he's Indian...so that's ok...

I have both of his DVD's, no one is spared especially himself. If he can take the piss out of himself like that, he's entitled to do so to others. "Somebody's gonna get hurt!"

Bill Bailey is my favourite, followed by Dylan Moran.

I saw Bill Bailey live in Wellington in June last year, and it was one of the best nights of my life.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Jimmy Carr gets pretty old pretty fast, he just tells jokes, his shows are pretty much made up of an hour of one liners.

not to say some of them aren't funny, but yea

I just heard that Dylan Moran is coming to Wellington again, Tuesday 23rd August at the MFC. Tickets from Ticketek, at $76.80 they are a little bit on the expensive side, but well worth it.

Really liking Donald Glover, who is Troy off 'Community', his stand-up stuff is top quality. And what he did for Derek Comedy is also funny. The skit 'Jerry' being one of the best

Jimeoin is by far the best comedian that appeared on 7 days.  Seinfeld has the same  cringe factor as Gervais.

Curb Your Enthusiasm is as cringe worthy as UK office-it is very funny but at times very hard to watch
i think Curb is my favourite tv show ever

Larry David is such a klutz- the inspiration for George Constanza.

No, but it sure beats saying he's the best ex-pat Irish comedian who lives in Australia.

Right then, anyone got some recommendations for comedians to go and see this Comedy Festival? I wish James Acaster was doing a show here, but he's only doing Auckland. Grr.

Saw Stephen K Amos a few years back at the Melbourne Comedy Festival and he was outstanding!
