With much eager anticipation I ventured down to my local S******s Ale House... Expecting to find a house focused on the brewing, selling, and consumption of ale... was also hoping to watch (and listen to) the rugby on the big screen and watch the Southern young fellas shove it up the Jaffas... Given that both of the aforemention teams are sponsored by the brewery behind said Ale House, with the same S******s brand no less!!!

Imagin my surprise when I walked into a bluddy restaurant!!!

Admittedly there was a screen in the corner showing the rugby - though the only audio was 80's & 90's pop/rock... Mark Knopfler is no Murray Mexted (and thankfully, nor is anybody else - besides MM)... however, I digress (as per).

How can an Ale House be another 'themed' restaurant?

Should I go to Valentines or the Hogs Breath now for a good bar?????

No just move closer to either FourKings or Backbencher.

Murphy's is the best pub in Petone Surge. not just because I'm there most nights either! The bar staff are awesome and always give me extra points at quiz night because I'm hopeless. :) Yayyy pity points!

Why is Speights blocked?

Yeah, I've heard that Smarah - I was on a venture of the bars I'd never been to... Speight's, The Establishment and Portside... mission accomplised lol.

god stay away from the empire. Establishment is yuck, good place for watching sports when theres not oversize girls in undersized clothing *shudder* Establishment and Speights are complete opposite ends of Jackson street, and Murphy's is right next door to Portside in between both, you should come into my work for a beer on Beach Street

I'm up the road from Murphy's, and Portside, and that other place too lol... Beer is good Smarah

I might just do that Smarah... the best thing about weeks is that they're only a few days long, and mine's been a bit crap too (though that may soon change) so I could be crying or celebrating myself lol.

Hopefully it'll be the latter
