Conspiracy theory
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

National's decision to axe the 15-year $1 billion household insulation scheme was done at the behest of the power companies who would ultimately lose revenue.

If SOEs have a responsibility to the community in their charters (which I think is the case), I do wonder what discussion about the impact the decision may have on public health took place(ie asthma and cold damp houses link)?

The people at 'Aspirational HQ' must have done their sums and decided $1bn was just too much for the wellbeing of some NZErs to be too much of a concern?

Clearly some evil capitalist cruelly cut back on charade spelling classes at Wolfben's school. He has been denied a full and nurturing education.  We shall rise up... we can overcome.

Wouldn't power companies make more money if there is less insulation?? Surely its us paying the power companies that end up losing money.

Note: No I'm not a National supporter in any way, shape or form.

I think Wolfben's last post needs a reply. Isn't it strange that any kind of note about social justice , or social issues, draws the immediate comment that the poster must be "of the left". Social justice is by no means the monopoly of the left.

Oops...according to the dictionary 'Behest' means exactly the opposite of what I thought it did.
