Anyone else watching the Darts "Live" on Sky Sports 4? We could learn some new chants from the crowd. The dart games have been impressive.

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

World Championship time.

Seriously.  How good were the two quarter-finals I saw today?  Both ended 5-4.  Looked like the wheels had fallen off for Simon Whitlock, but he got there in the end...and that "Snakebite" looks a right character.

Anyone can win this.  Can't get enough of it.

MVG should win it. Sneaky feeling Lewis will though.

Three for me, and two for them.

Permalink Permalink

It probably is van Gerwen's time...but this Peter "Snakebite" Wright is on a major winning roll...

Permalink Permalink

Lewis had his moments this morning. Some brilliant darts, some awful finishing. Was closer than 5-1 suggests. MVG should do him.

Three for me, and two for them.

Permalink Permalink

Well, if Snakebite keeps throwing like that - he's every chance to win this...

I love the battle of the guy with the ever-changing ridiculous haircuts against old Brett Lee with ridiculous goatee and bleached hair.

Give darts its due - it knows how to entertain the average fan.

MVG v Lewis.

Dis gon be gud.

Well, MVG murdered him. R.I.P. Adrian Lewis.

Think ur right there Buff.  Watched the start - MVG was checking out so good.  Then flicked over for some "Cheater" kicks...and then it's all over.

Impressive.  It's his time.

Snakebite is missing doubles that he was eating up earlier in the tournament.  This could be 7-zip to MVG.

Like how to get the tune to Go West correct? "Stand up if you love the darts"
Love the darts. Its like a Sevens atmosphere there. The noise is incredible. Makes you realise how precious tennis players and golfers are when those darts guys can still play on with all that noise.

MVG is champion.  7-4.  Great match.  "What ifs" with the Double Tops in that set for Snakebite there...

Simon Whitlock (7th seed) gone in round 1!

I have a table for 4 at the Darts King Australasia at Te Ruaparaha Arena, Porirua on Thursday 15th and Friday 16th January. I know Patrick is going both nights. Cory (SurgeInWelly) is keen to come too and Azevo is also interested.

#YellowFeverAtTheDarts anyone?

I'd be interested on the Friday night, how many spaces have you got?

I have 4 tickets (a table for 4 down on the main floor) for Thursday and 4 tickets for Friday.

I am using one ticket each night for me.

Cory (Surge Queensland) - Is definitely ticket number 2 for Friday, and I am assuming he is keen on Thursday too.

That leaves two tickets as yet not confirmed.

My uncle lives up north of Kaitaia and has made noises about coming down but has not committed yet.

My best mate since we were kids, Brad, lives in Auckland and is a darts nut. He really wants to come but has a wife and two kids and thinks a leave pass might be a stretch. He is investigating.

Azevo is interested, but has not yet confirmed.

A guy I work (who did the tour to Adelaide and Perth with me) with is from Brazil, and his son is coming over for a few weeks from Brazil and he said this mornign he is interested in the two tickets for Friday night, but he has not yet committed either.

Tickets are $65 each (includes a portion of the booking/extortion fee from ticketmaster).

Anyone who wants to commit, just let me know.

If we end up with more demand we can just buy more tickets.

Was at Ally Pally for Saturday's afternoon session.

They atmosphere is electric. It's like multiplying the 12 pubs of Lochy crawl gaggle by 50, and giving them a bunch of Sevens costumes. Great fun, and the banter between the cheap seats and the prawn-sandwich eating tables is incessant. "We pay your benefits, we pay your benefits...."
