I agree. IPL is a cancer.
Three for me, and two for them.

Ive grown to a point with T20 where I can stomach it, used to dislike it immensely. Have basically learnt to enjoy it for what it is but love Test Cricket as still the most beautiful sport going round.
Danny Morrison though, he can get f**ked!

An interesting point made by Modi the other day, he believes that instead of kids growing up wanting to play 20/20 over test cricket, what the IPL has done is brought kids into the game of cricket where they might instead be off playing football. An interesting way of looking at it.
By the way, I'm over watching the IPL. Same sh*t, different day for me.

They grow up wanting to play T20. So they suck at proper cricket. But yes there is the argument, and it is a valid one, that it introduces people to cricket, who then fall in love with test cricket also. Though i tend to think it is killing test cricket more than it benefits it.
Take Jesse Ryder (I think),he said if he were to do it all over again,he would specialise in T20 training,as that is where the money and opportunities are (you dont even have to be a international test player to get a T20 contract somewhere worth a decent wage)

Watch Brendon McCullum try and play a test innings. Then try and tell me T20 isn't making Test players worse.

Is that because he's fat and can't last 50 Overs let alone 5 days???

yea its watchable. i would be lying if i said i didnt enjoy that 2nd 20/20 vs aussie, and yes i was on the edge of my seat but test cricket is where its at for me. the icc need to do something to make test cricket the pinacle as it used to be.
i think lots of players still view test cricket as the top form of the game but one gets the feeling more and more are setting their sight on the ipl and the like

Booooring.
International Twenty20 is enough. Sick of this ruining test series, like it has done to the Aussies one. Now we have another two test series.

Watching IPL replay now. It is horrendous. Horrendously sh*t. Horrendously f**king awful. It is not cricket.

The thing about the IPL is it takes T20 and makes it worse. And thats a very, very hard thing to do.

What does an IPL coach actually do?
"Alright, you, yea, you, the one we paid way to much for - I want you to try and hit the ball really far every time - what? You'll get to 25 and then get out? Oh well, this is T20. That doesn't matter."
