Weather story. In Ghana during teh wet season. I was in a taxi at night in a big downpour. My taxi was following another near the town of Tamale. The taxi in front suddenly vanished off the edge of the road and into the water...  I was a bit 'concerned'....  My taxi driver just said "damn fool he was too close to the edge"...  and kept on driving.

I often wonder what happened to that other taxi.

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Wairoa. "How NZ used to be"

I was born there. So I wouldn't consider it a destination as such because I didn't really have a choice.

Fuck this stupid game

This place is miles from anywhere.

Saint Helena.

Napoleon  was exiled and died on this island. It is a long time ago that I visited it,  and arrived on a ship via Cape Town.

If you are old and wise you were probably young and stupid
