My most hated are Sally Ridge and Richard Till, the spastic who keeps telling us to "Shop Smarter New Zealand". The idiot can't stay still.

The porirua guy who stole a family pet frm its yard then set his dogs on it and hit his own dogs till they viciously attacked  the quavering pet dog
The chch neighbor who shot the next doors pet puppy last month
All puppy farmers
All dog fight organisers & attendees
All pedophiles
All violent parents
All rapists
All drunk drivers esp repeat offenders

you guys obviously have a different interpretation for the word "detestable"
I would consider all your offerings more in the categories of irritating NZers

people chose to watch game shows - they're not forced. & Amesty International or WSPA aren't ever going to start a campaign for the 'victims'

detestable means deserving to be hated - abhorrent, vile, loathsome

with all on my list I can truthfully say if they were driving in front of me and crashed their car and it caught alight I'd prob sit there watching it burn. I might not like her but I wd definitely try and rescue Sally Ridge

Christine Rankin is more of a criminal than any of the animal abusers  you have highlighted.
she has also facilitated more crime through being a high-priestess of free market theology and enacting that on the poorest members of NZ society. Her do as I say , not as I do style of management/cultism/indoctrination has no place in a supposedly;y democratic and educated society.
She is also a clear cut Racist and to be sure SK, I detest Racists whether I use my understanding of that word or yours.

I've also been Vegetarian for 20 years, vegan for the last 17 so I'd argue my animal rights cred is as high (or low) as any ones else on here.

and anyway people who deal with and try and help (i'm not saying her specifically) the poorest members of society don't "have" to be poor themselves or follow their own budgetary advice and scrimp & save to be allowed to do so or to make their advice valid

and the great majority of people in this country who volunteer and do charitable work wd fall under the do as i say not how i myself live credo simply because it is often people better off who are advising those who are less so.

I'm not particularly a fan of Rankin but she's hardly Pol Pot. if you want live in a society where everyone is equal and only the poor help the poor there are plenty of countries you can move to...

I think there is a vast difference between a teenager who picks up a steel bar and hits a seal and its pup over and over -  with a woman who was hired in a democratic society to put in place the rules and systems the democratically picked govt has decided on. just because you don't believe in them doesn't make them crimes against humanity. hitting a defenseless animal is always an inhumane & immoral act

and learn to see a joke before getting on your high horse. everyone in NZ associates Christine Rankin with big earrings & a decent rack often displayed fore front and centre. i'm female and it didn't bother me thats the way she chose to dress.

NZers who move overseas (usually to Oz) bagging NZ claiming that where they are now is so much better & still being proud to be a NZer & hold NZ passports. I say revoke their NZ citizenship/passport.

I can't believe more people don't hate Richard Till. The man is an imbecile. Please hate him.

What's his agenda?

Agenda? To get more people to shop at Countdown. He plans on achieving this by going on our teles each night and bobbing about like a frog in a sock, all while trying to convince us that buying veges from a supermarket chain at grossly inflated prices is, in fact, "smarter" than getting your produce from, say, a specialist vege shop or market.
