They've only got one song (and it's not even a song).  . . .

Thank God for the Phoenix and YF, that's all I can say.

I heard the old "clap clap clap ALL BLACKS" and it sounded a bit familiar.  Poor effort by the rugby fans, but that's what we expect i guess :)

I heard the French fans tho'....

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Indeed, I'm sure they would've helped the French team along. Our (AB) fans are simply sh*t. They provide almost no atmosphere.

Yeh well France has the football culture so they were always going to be loud.  Add to that they know how an atmosphere can lift a team's game and that was exactly what happened.  NZ were the better team but with momentum and belief - both bred by the crowd - the Frenchies stole the victory.

I would hope this makes our rugby crowds wake up to their role, but it seems its still going to be a hard thing to breed into our rugger fans.

Been to loads of 5/6 Nations games and the atmosphere at Murrayfield and in Paris, Dublin and Twickers pisses all over what passes for atmosphere at All Black games in NZ. Seems to be a Kiwi rugby thing, don't make any noise, don't draw attention to yourself and don't enjoy yourself in public.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

I was at the stadium  Fri night and for a 1/4 final, it was dead, it was empty and Rugby rules? I think not.

Oh and the music was sooooooo f**ken loud, it annoyed the sh*t out of me. Turn it down or better still, turn it off!

And Scotty's voice is still 5 octaves too  high even at Rugby.

Thank god for the YF singers! phew!
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!
