Don't forget Bjork. They're responsible for her as well..

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

we were meant to be having a rather large audit at work this week from a company in belgium which would have seriously dented my ability to troll the forums whilst at work, however due to this fairly decent cloud of ash parked over europe im safe for now

The ash cloud has finally affected football fixtures. Both Barcelona and Lyon have been forced to travel by road to their CL Semis on Wed and Thurs morn NZT, and the two Europa League Semis scheduled for Friday morn NZT are on hold with a chance that both may be postponed.

Three for me, and two for them.

Travel by road?? Oh no!! What a disaster!!

Well it's not something they're used to or partake in often these days. It's unusual that's all. No need to be smarmy.

I guess that's true about the routine. How long would be that bus trip from Barcelona to Milan?
Permalink Permalink
almost 16 years ago · edited over 13 years ago
It's approx 1000km. They are travelling to Cannes in France first (650km), spending a night there, then onto Milan (350km) the next day.

Lyon's trip to Munich is approx 700km.

Both distances one way.

Three for me, and two for them.

Yes but you didn't have to do it whilst also preparing for a European Cup Semi.

Bergkamp often didn't travel and never played in a European Cup Semi away from home.

How do you find an Icelandic person in a forest?

Ask them to stand up.

Those of you who have roamed around the Skaftafellsjokull and the like will know what I mean.

Yes, but would you do it again?

And would you be ready to play football the day after you arrive?

------
I took a coach from London to Barcelona via Lyon once; that was a mission.

"I would call it a European mess because we did not focus on figures and facts," Giovanni Bisignani, director general of the International Air Transport Association (IATA) said on Monday.

"Europe was using a theoretical mathematical approach and this is not what you need. We needed some test flights to go into the atmosphere and assess the level of ashes and take decisions," he told Reuters in an interview.

Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.
