Oporto is supposed to be opening in Wellington soon..
No idea where though.

Only the best burgers. Originated in Sydney (Bondi).
I only thought it was in Australia until we found it in Palmy.

You could have seen it instead of seeing.. Into the mountain (Or whatever)

I knew it was bad when they saw a film.... didn't know it was that bad.

Stefan, I'm surprised you haven't made numerous trips to Palmy just to get Oporto, especially considering you live half way there.

Oporto is dead good. they had a branch at the palms in chch but was shut down and is now the subway.

ive got a song that wont take long, Adelaide are rubbish.. the second verse is same as the first.. ADELAIDE ARE RUBBISH

I tried dominoes pasta for the first time tonight. what a joke that sh*t is. gave myself a swift uppercut for thinking it was gonna be any good.

I enjoy most of the listed places occasionally but agree with whoever said you can't beat good fish and chips. Shame it costs $6.50 for a piece of tarakihi in Wellington though.

I did a stint in Beijing for 2.5 years (many moons ago) - avoiding all the Westerner haunts.

The one thing I really missed about NZ was a good meat pie.

Two places that really did it for me were

a) Molesworth bakery/pie shop (used to be down from BB I think)
b) Lincoln pie shop (Canterbury)

Fish and chips would come in at second but never had quite the same craving for me.

Somewhat pricey but good every now and then (we used to go to our local in Karori but find that it's hard to do that after having had Pratha).

F&C shop next door isn't too bad either (but the man supports that lot... you know...).

When leaving Sydney airport - I always get myself a big norm burger from the Oporto at the airport, morning noon and night - knowing that'll be the last Oporto goodness until my next visit to Oz.

The best pizza I ever had was from the Rome railway station (Statzione Centrale), but that was 15 yrs ago.  This small pizzeria did this incredible margherita.  As you know it's only tomato pure & mozzarella cheese with some herbs, sounds plain, but it was more tastier than any pizza I've had here with lots of toppings!
