In his prime was Nigerian Finidi George really the FASTEST footballer in the world? apparently he ran 100m in 12 seconds!

Carl Lewis played a lot of football. Clearly not at top level but i guess he was pretty quick...  ;)

12? that's not very quick, I thought Djibril Cisse could do it in under 11.

I ran 100m in 14 seconds and I'm an 83kg 16 year old, so I'm sure Finidi George wasn't the fastest footballer.

12 seconds isn't very fast, surely there would be quicker than that

i ran a 12.7 in 7th form, reckon I could go a fair bit faster now

so maybe under 12 seconds means 11. something...

From memory, Claudio Canniggia was doing around 11, or just under, in his prime.

During his time at Ipswich he was thought to be the sh*ttest footballer in the world...
