Hi guys,

Can anyone tell me of the best/their favourite Surf Casting spots in the Wellington region, I am not familiar with any but have moved over now and need somewhere to fish!!

I have heard lyall bay is good.  I am keen to go anywhere, as long as it is accesable.

Thanks for your help, and go the Nix!

I'll play the OP's game.

From the shore opposite Sunshine Bay garage in Eastbourne. Go on, try it.

(loose use of the term surfcasting.)

..and mind me in my kayak

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Never seen anyone go there.

Seen a few people go off on the Ohiro Bay side of Island Bay (or the back end of that Island).

Miramar and Seatoun wharfs are also okay.

Kahawai and kingfish. That's all I've seen. (and one very ugly barracuda!)
