A quick look at the Premier League table is pretty grim reading for us Libpool fans. A look into the situation behind the scenes at our club would make most want to top themselves. Doom, doom, doom.

Yet, I remain upbeat about... well, it all. Not even just football, but life.

You'll all be heartbroken to know that I can't come to Victoria next year. It's just too expensive and, as I hope to go into teaching, I'll spend the rest of my life paying back the huge debt I will get down there. My parents earn too much for me to get student allowance as well, so that suckssss. When I found this out, I actually cried in the corner for about five minutes. Uni in Welly had me the most excited I've been since Yossi scored that last minute goal vs Fulham. Just to excape Auckland, to watch the Phoenix, to be free of the shackles of my home and out into the real world.. It all seemed so nice!

I'll admit, that knocked me over for a while when I realised I couldn't afford it. I felt down about lots of things because my mindset was negative. To make matters worse, Libpool were utter rubbish and the Yanks killed anything good that happened at the club; and the ridicule from peers was constant!

But now, I am happy. I realise now that I have no expectations of how we're going to play (brainwashed by Roy??). We're so sh*te that it doesn't warrant worrying about! I just get up, watch my team play like dogs, and then go back to bed- proud that I support this team, no matter how embarassing we are- both on and off the field.

The cause of this happiness? Perhaps the realisation that I shouldn't get so angry about the game. Perhaps the fact that I just turned 18 and went to town and got absolutely hammered on Friday night helped. Being drunk and singing "Greenacre" down Queen St is quite a feeling!

But mostly, its cos I have a girlfriend at last! She's so incredible  She makes me happy, even when we lost to United. Teenage love  Changed my feelings and mood, and now I am happy. I wish you could all meet her and see how awesome she is.

I'm happy and it isn't even drug-induced  I love you all.

Peace out. xxxo

EDIT: Soz to vent, but I'm a bit drunk and I needed to get that off my chest.

/ignore.

Your Lucky you live in a city with a university. I come from a small town. Don't get student allowance. So do 1000's of over people?

Could it just mean you working your ass off over summer saving money then working while your down here?

Sorry if that sounds rude.

Im just more confused than anythingshambles_Baby2010-09-27 20:16:56

Reminds me of my Pompey. Feeling good where they are now..

We will never fully decide who has won the football.

I knew it was a girl, and if she dumps you then you will probably cry.

Achievable. Bring her to the Honduras match. Unless she doesn't like football, in which case find someone else

Even then???????   CRIKEY!!
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.
