I'm a new Phoenix fan this season. I'm originally from Auckland, presently in the United States for university though. Been mostly a rugby fan all my life, but after watching the All Whites at the World Cup this year I decided to follow the Phoenix, closest to a home team I could get! Except maybe Auckland City... but I'm pretty sure NZFC games don't get televised, here or elsewhere, so I couldn't watch them since I'm stuck in the USA another two years.

A lot of the phoenix games are streamed online so as long as you've got a good computer and internet access you'll be able to watch them.

I'm from near the west coast. I don't follow an MLS team because there isn't one nearby, the closest geographically are LA Galaxy.
And yeah, I haven't missed a single Wellington Phoenix game that I wasn't at work during (which was both matches of the Melbourne doubleheader - d'oh!). It's a lot of fun to finally have my "own team" to follow, rather than watching European leagues as a neutral.
