Excellent news, Buff. That's the first step out of the way. Hopefully I'll get the chance to say hullo again at Napier.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Quite a 'deep' session today. Delved into areas like relationships and family today, and how they have affected me over the past year (she is only focusing on recent history first before going too far back). She says i have the type of personality which finds it hard to understand why people hurt me, so if i get hurt badly by someone i love or care strongly about i let it manifest inside me aka 'bottling it up' which in turn affects my mental health and state of mind.

Session 3 on Friday arvo. She wants to see me quite regularly/often at this stage which is good because she seems to have a good amount of interest in my case (probably the same with everyone i'm not sure).

Thanks for all continued messages of support.

Hey Buff, just a quick question. Out of interest, do you have to pay for these appointment or are they covered by the govt

I pay for them. However i pay less than others due to my financial position. I am not prepared to argue whether this is right or wrong either.

Another quite intense session today. Started to delve into the past and why certain incidents that happened during my upbringing could of affected me in the long term. An example of this would be continuous fighting between parents. Won't reveal too much more than that but it does get quite bad in some areas (if you wish to know more PM me and i may tell you there, depending on how i feel).

Only the one session next week, luckily squeezed in a time on Tuesday. Would usually have a Friday but going away to that Napier tournament on that day and she is all booked out on other days. Overall though i am content with the progress i am making, and feel like i'm truly doing the right thing.

Cheers

Buffy.

Today's session was much more relaxed, well i felt it was anyway. I feel like i am making very good progress although there is still a fair way to go and plenty more to be explored before i can move on from this. She actually has said a few times that i have quite a strong and selfless personality, but may hide this behind narcissistic or egotistical traits, in an attempt to 'protect' myself (aka keeping up a guard).

Not back in again till after Labour Weekend. Didn't schedule an exact time yet, but she will contact me over the next few days to sort something out, as she is extremely busy at the moment.

All the best

Sounds good that the psychiatrist hasn't just thrown medication at the issue. Glad it's going well.

Cheers mate. She told me that a lot of people may think or believe that drugs/medication is the answer but all it does in many situations is just oppress the problems and bottle them up even further. So in summary drugs really aren't the answer, even those little pills that make people happy.

Keep it going Buff, you are on the road to getting it all under control and relevant. I think you will come out of this with a very strong charactor able to face the most testing of times.

I just hope that meeting me this weekend won't set your recovery back any!

FT: Thanks for the link

Sanday: Generally not. Funny you should ask as i had a little moment last night at training standing alone in goal when they 'piped up' a bit. Nothing serious though. They usually are worst when i am bored/doing nothing. If i'm pre occupied with something i'm usually ok.

Jag: Ooooh dunno about that mate, might be the straw that breaks the camels back. Haha no i kid, look forward to it.

I think someone is looking over me. Last night i had a pretty bad 'episode' with the voices when going to bed and was worried as to when my next appointment would be as she hadn't called me yet but she just called before to confirm tomorrow afternoon.

Had another decent session today. Enjoyed more 'casual' chat than before which is good because it feels much more relaxing and natural. She also kept apologizing for not contacting me earlier about our next appointment and me worrying about it, which was nice, but i don't blame her at all. We already scheduled my next session (Monday) so no anxious worrying this time.

Btw if anyone has further links similar to the one FT posted a little while back that would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers

Almost forgot to update. My session got postponed today, which i was quite upset about because i'm quite stressed about several things atm. It got rescheduled for Friday arvo, after i get back from my trip to Rotovegas. Until then i'll just have to hold strong i spose.
