Killjoy division cleans up Ian Curtis wall

F**cking muppets at the council.

That graffiti is a piece of art and has been around longer than any of the dick-heads who painted it over.

Never mind, it'll be back by next week. Even if I have to go and do it myself.

Can't believe they did that. Part of the character and soul of Wellington.

The machine of bureaucracy.

When it's painted back does the original date painted for his birth get put up or the correct one? I'm not a local, seems interesting that they've been keeping the mistake for 27 (?) years

I can't believe "Ian Curtiss" has been there that long.  I remember it when I went to the then Wellington Polytechnic to do my NZ Cert in Engineering in 1982.  Back then everybody was asking who is Ian Curtiss?

When I first got here I was studying @ Massey (thank GOODNESS i'm done) but that always bemused me a little, but in a good way, like that's cool, not what the hell is the council doing.

Not. Cool.

I used to flat with the guy who allegedly painted it, (or maybe he was someone who kept painting it over- not sure)

either way- his name was Harry Death, and he was/is a punk casualty.

Council should have let it be in my humboldt opinion

It's back!

Drove past it yesterday so I think it went back up overnight on Saturday/Sunday.

Good work.
