We're playing Australia on the 22nd and 23rd of August in Dunedin as part of the winter games. I didn't see anything on Tv1 news about it. But then I'm not surprised since they spend 5 minutes on Rugby, leaves little time for other sports.
We don't have a good record against them either 58-0 was the worst defeat, infact I think it's the worst defeat ever for a national hockey team. 
Is anyone going to watch a game there? I think Sky are televising one of them.

Yep, in Perth, fair while ago.
I'll be watching of course, hockey being the only sport I love as much as football. Wish I could go in person - I went to Stampede vs. Thunder down in Q'town, had the time of my life.

Guts, missed both - was out with my girlfriend during the first game and the second match (contrary to my earlier post, time zone fail) clashed with Nix-Clogs.

How can you lose an ice hockey game 58-0? That's conceding a goal every minute, pretty much.

There was a game (against one of the massive ice hockey nations) where we were getting pants on by so much, we ended up scoring a goal when their goalie was off signing autographs while the game was on and a lucky strike went down into the opposition's goal. Pretty sure its a true story.

I think they should start with a goal advantage for being able to do a haka on Ice Skates, that is a brilliant effort!

I remember something being said about this, I think it was before there was a rule limiting the number of naturalised players allowed, and the aussie team bar 1 or 2 was made entirelty of Russkies, Scandinavians and Cannucks.
