Well the guy who claimed to have a back injury was faking it so the whole group was punished for it and basically he got forced out of camp by one of the sergeants. Bear and another group member stole some food because they were sick of the rations given too them. The punshiment was both getting buried up to their necks in dirt for an hour whilst the rest of the group played football. At the end another member quit although i was in the toilet and missed it.

The Scot guy was 2 years clean after 14 years on heroin, and could feel himself bottoming out, decided he couldn't risk his sobriety for his pride so went out. Everyone respected his decision, even the head of the training outfit (not the yank sargent, the French officer) shook his hand before ringing the bell.
