In Wellington for World Cup final. Any suggestions?

Greetings, I'll be traveling through New Zealand for a month in July, and being obsessed with football, I was wondering were would be the best place to catch the final? I'll be in Hamilton on the 4'th , for the Chief's match before heading to Matamata, and then down to Wellington. A little about myself, I'll be traveling from Portland Oregon (yes I'm Timbers Army with the ink to prove it.) My three biggest interests are footy, beer, and travel. And I love hooking up with like minded people. Which is why I'm reaching out to the legendary yellow fever. Any suggestions or "don't miss this" items would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Travis

When you are in Wellington, head to Four Kings. It's the place to be. Not sure about other cities however.

Timbers Army represent!!! We'll have to sort out some way to watch the Timbers @ Seattle at Four Kings which is on the same day as the final, just later on. Would be awesome getting to watch a game with someone from Portland for once, especially against Shittle!

I have absolutely no interest in MLS/USA soccerball (I am an England/A-League/China snob ... if that is possible).
But IF I did, I would follow Seattle.  It's a great city in a very nice state (and close to BC/Vancouver which I have lots of warm fuzzies about).  
I like Oregon too (actually pretty much all of the Pacific Northwest) - collaborated with a great guy from there, but Seattle, WA would be my favourite place in the Land of the Frei.

I worked a summer camp just outside of Portland...such a nice place, seattle too....favourite memory was going to a town called Wankers County.

Portland, isn't that where they filmed the original "First Blood" with Sly? One of the better movies to see, story is good.
