Would an injury thread be worthwhile?
... not to show off, but just swap stories and such ...
I came off my bike two weeks ago and hit the road at about 40km/h.
4 broken ribs; broken bone in lower spine.
Full recovery in about 4-5 weeks time, hopefully.
Lots of people helped as I lay on the side of the road, which was great.
Wellington's ambulance service and hospital are awesome; we are lucky to have them.
I'm now housebound with lots of time to watch the olympics and play FM ...
