Enough of the "nostalgia wallowing".    Hang on, just a second... I have an IRN BRU story...

I wa in the transport park in Bissau the capital of Guinea-Bissau a few years back, About nine in the morning and I was trying to find some transport to Sao Domingos. It was HOT!! I chanced upon the drinks-seller and checked his stock. (large bucket of ice with various cans hidden away). In my very best crioulu ( a mix of Portuguese and Balante) I asked for a drink. He stuck his hand in the ice and out popped a can of Irn Bru! You couldn't make it up. WTF was a can of Irn Bru doing in Bissau...?

Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Irn Bru is the best hangover cure known to mankind. Lovely stuff.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

The confectionary/newsagent beside Starbucks at the north end of Lambton key sells it, and the confectionary/newsagent in the passage between the Old Bank Arcade and BNZ food court sells it.

Had a can this afternoon sitting on the bench under the art installation (spinning M&Ms) on Lambton Quay

When Hibs, went up, to win the Scottish Cup - I wisnae there - furfuxake!

I bought it from Woolworths at the Mount on a whim, having no idea what it was. Was pretty good, I'd certainly buy it again

Yeah, it's the deep frying that ruins it!
