iSky Partners

I'm moving house this weekend and as such will be having to sign up with a new ISP. I have previously been with Telstra who didnt really throw up any complaints and I would go with them again.

However we use iSky a lot and I note they have a few partners who offer un-metered access which would be great.

So wondering if people have used any of the above provideres - Orcon & Slingshot look the most likely.

Or if people think we should stick with telstra?

Used to be with Slingshot. Service was fine but found them a little expensive compared to our new ISP, Airnet (Hawkes Bay).

The unmetered iSky thing would be a huge drawcard but would shop around as you may be able to get a better deal with higher data allowance thus negating the need to go with an ISP that is unmetered

I with Telecom, get 120gb a month. It basically means that we get unlimited iSky usage, as we usually only use 50gb of that 120.

Any reason you are against slingshot? I had some people suggest them, but then have had other terrible rumours

I'm currently with Vodafone for my home phone, internet & Sky (All combined bill)

Only problem I have had was at the beginning with my home line not working because the installer didn't switch the house from the Telstra lines in the box outside, and the first customer service rep thinking it was the filters. But when new filters arrived 2 days later on a Saturday and made no difference the next rep sent out an installer within 24hrs and he fixed it on a Sunday.

As for the Internet, has been excellent, would recommend them for a good ISP, not really much to say about the others.

I used Orcon for my naked b/band a few years back - very impressive. Responsive service, good value, good product.

They are a world of pain. Seriously just don't do it. I heard all sorts of shit about them before I joined (as a mobile customer). That was the longest 12 months of my life. I know that was mobile but I dealt with the same CSRs and seriously it's just not worth the pain. Internet is something that should be like your electricity - constant, reliable, and generally hassle-free.

I have a similar package, and vodafone has been great, including customer service.  Even get free MySky thrown in, which I could no longer live without.

Yeah the free MySky is a godsend, not sure how I used to do it, getting up middle of the night to watch Football & F1 every weekend.
