Might go to the Wellington one.

Will your boss give you the time off?
Nope. So I guess I'll have to be there.

Tony Greig sounds like he really wants to accuse the English of ball tampering.

Great bowling from Tremlett. I was on my way out but this got to good to miss, could be over today.

I think I saw centre bet was paying $28 for it to finish in this session!TopLeft072011-01-06 19:37:30

This afternoon was absolutely mental, at a couple of points a 'stand up for the england' call went out and the whole place got to its feet. 40,000 there today, I reckon 25,000 would have been Poms. Just mental, especially when Mitchell Johnson does absolutely anything.

Thought the final moments and the immediate aftermath in Melbourne were pretty special but tomorrow could be ever bigger!

BTW, anyone think we could take this Australian team the way they are playing right now? They're a bunch of mediocre cricketers performing poorly.

I'll fill the Collingwood role. Middle order bat. Bowl dibby dobblies. Shit hot in the field.

Three for me, and two for them.

I'm not much of a batsman...or a bowler for that matter...and apparently I can't catch. Yeah let me at them!

That's what I was going to say but then I remembered I dropped a catch on national tv

Edit. oh wait on, England had a team ball shiner, that's me!TopLeft072011-01-06 22:37:32

I play those stupid shots that only idiots with no concern for their own wellbeing play. Usually make a quick-fire nine. I cannot bowl well at all, but I get a few wickets (albeit for a lot of runs). I'm not a bad fielder though. Oh, and also I drink and smoke too much.

They do call me the next big thing.. Sorta a mix of Chris Martin with the bat, Monty Panesar with my fielding and they dont really trust me with the ball. Im a bit dangerous.

Anyone remember the last series where we lost 3/4 (or even 2/3 considering our 3 test series) of the games by an innings? We are sh*t, but I don't remember being that sh*t for a while.

Anyone know why the referral system isn't being used? Is the PCB is opposed to it as the Injuns?

So sad that we only get two tests for the entire summer

Disappointing crowd there it looks like. But tbh your not gonna get a big crowd playing Pakistan. Also I would like to see more games against Aus and England. Perhaps tests. Also Gups is looking strong but McCullum not so much.

Looks a reasonable crowd for a friday workday.

McCullum just gloves one through to the keeper, then smashes it for four next ball.

UDRS is perfect for these leg side glancing ones that really are 50/50 calls. ICC really needs to grow a pair and just mandate the thing across all test cricket.aitkenmike2011-01-07 12:29:56

78/1 at lunch. Good first session for us. Really liking McCullum as opener. Adds a whole new dimension to our top order.

That dimension being someone who can bat for more than ten overs and is capable of more than ten runs with relative regularity.

I like this dimension

Ahh B-Mac. The old six and out

Anyone know the price for a days admission at the test? Was thinking of heading down either tomorrow or Sunday.

Just checked as my mate coming from Auckland asked me - $25. No student price, just under 16.
