Joe Strummer - the future is unwritten
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

saw them at the town hall in 1981, my younger brother sat on the stage by simonen`s feet, saw joe in a sole effort at the electric ballroom, camden town in mid 80`s probably the best band of the punk era, hard to pick their best songs but would go for english civil war, complete control and white man in hammersmith palais, best album give em enough rope, what do u think?

This was taken at the Town Hall gig.
That was the only time I saw them. Even though I was in England twice in their era this was the only time I saw them. For me White Man in Hammersmith Palais is the song. The first album still works for me.
I was living in Camden Town 1987/1989 and was in the pub one night. Two rastafarians walked in. Said to my friend that I could get them to come and join us without even speaking to them. Went to the juke box and put on White Man in Hammersmith Palais. A couple of chords later they joined us. Great moment.
