How have things been? Missed coming here.

In case anyone asks, I was in for driving with no license (I have a NZ license but it's no good in America). I knew what I was doing, got caught, and deserved it.

Jail was pretty miserable. As I was in for something relatively minor (relative, as in one of the most minor offenses that can land you behind bars), I was in about the most minimum security you can get. The walls were regular drywall, and the door was made of wood. No bars or anything.

I spent about 18 hours out of every 24 in it, with a cellmate who didn't speak English (she was from nearby Mexico). I'd have spent longer inside but I volunteered for kitchen duty, which involved some basic cooking and dishwashing. Not a whole lot of fun but it kept me at least a little occupied.

Yeah I thought jail was like a 5-star hotel?
I like tautologies because I like them.
