NEWLY Crowned NRL premiers Manly have been rewarded for their historic victory over the Melbourne Storm, with six players named in the 2008 Australian rugby league World Cup squad.
The 24-man squad includes Churchill medalist Brent Kite, along with Sea Eagles teammates Josh Perry, Brett and Glenn Stewart, Anthony Watmough and David Williams.
Storm captain Cameron Smith was also named, following a two week suspension that saw him miss his sides' 40-0 thumping by the Sea Eagles. Smith will be joined by teammates Israel Folau, Greg Inglis, Billy Slater and Michael Crocker.
Brisbane�s Darren Lockyer has been named as captain.
The team also includes seven players making their debut for the Kangaroos, with Williams, Perry, Glenn Stewart and Watmough joined by Canberra�s Terry Campese and Joel Monaghan, and the Gold Coast�s Anthony Laffranchi.
