Interesting and talented cultural phenomenon or boring fake pop skank?

I personally like her approach, but her music is too safe and boring for my tastes. I prefer Robyn for pure pop.

She's a fad, it will end when her target audience grows up, part of the cycle of music .

True, but most pop music is faddish, that's part of its appeal. Like fashion. There were tonnes of faddish groups in the 50s and 60s.

Yeah fully,I guess that's a reason why the world is full of one hit wonders that get you humming along reminding you of a time gone by.The thing about it is it's all been done before Gagas style is a rehash of Cher/Madonna, no doubt the big hair bands are soon to make another return too ala Motley Crue or WASP

Think it's a bit cruel comparing Motley Crue to WASP - while they have somewhat similar roots, WASP actually made some very good music, their Headless Children album is one of the heavy metal albums ever made.

They were both part of the "Glam Rock" fad is what i was referring more too, the Big Hair and make up. Which is surely about to make a comeback.

Early WASP maybe (Blackie Lawless and Nikki Sixx were in a couple of bands together in the late 1970s and early 1980s), but by the second half of the 1980s WASP matured and started recording some very, very good stuff.

Motley Crue not so much, that was my original point ( I think...).

The former imo. I don't really know much about her music, but I've never seen a pic of her that didn't warrent further study, not 'cause she's super hot (she's far from it tbh) but just because she captures the imagination or summitt.
