Settle down!

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Bleeding eck, puts me to shame, still I like my caf food too much but found a new BK up North Harbour way that I'm addicted to.  And, for those who haven't tried it, replace the big breakfast at Robert Harris with a hollandaise stack (just imagine a big box), that's a hunk of fried bread dipped in egg with chunk of brie, hash brown, spinach fried in sugar, a couple of spuds soaked in brown sauce, two massive boiled eggs on top and the whole thing smothered in hollandaise sauce.  Seriously my mortgage is financing my caf habit and I can't kick it.

Ahem....We're not Auckland anymore...remember?

Classic. Though I have to say that in my weaker moments Im partial to salmon benedict on a bed of spinach...but then again I have been turning increasingly poncy over the last couple of years...

That would be eggs florentine then. Or Montreal if you drop the spinach.

Personally you can tell how good a cafe is by the quality of their bene. Crazy Lounge used to be the best but I haven't tried the bene there since they changed owners and became Ernesto's

Maranui Surf Club are good, especially with hashbrowns and black pudding!!!

Clearly you were taken by other more obvious features...

This doesn't look like my old gardener at all. Unless Bruce has come out of retirement and had a sex change. Bruce, why did you dye your hair blonde ?

Excuse me for being a stickler, but it seems were rather veered off talking about McDs breakfast...and I wasnt complaining about pictures of half-naked men (though I dont really swing that way), but about posting pics of Frank Lampard of all people???

Whats this world coming to...but anyways, each to their own I sppose.

leuven on featherston has the best hangover breakfasts in the land hands down.

$6 potato cakes - with egg, bacon, toast and a beer to wash it all down - SENSATIONAL (beer not included in prices)

Can't agree, BK breakfast is tasty, McDs is large and bland.
Depends on whether its food you want or a hangover cure.
Still rather fork out for a caf breakfast that sees you right for most of the day.

i think i was in a rather bad mood that morning. but yes cafe breakfasts are better.

if youre after a bacon and egg mcmuffin go to cafe st paul just off pipitea st in welly. they will usually do two for $4 or $4.50 and then you get barbeque sauce and fried onions as well all without the fattiness of McD's.

How hard is it to get a toasted bacon sandwich in Wellington though, most places on Lambton Quay look at me as if I'm daft when I try and order a toasted bacon sandwhich in the morning.
Mr Bun at Midland, after them finally understanding what I was asking for wanted to charge me $10.50!!, apparently that's the price of their bacon & egss on toast, and she was saying that they would give me extra bacon instead of egg!!

Finally found Cafe Raazoo a few doors up that do bacon butties for $4.50 - v tasty.

Just need someone to do black pudding or square sausage on a soft morning roll hmmm

When Hibs, went up, to win the Scottish Cup - I wisnae there - furfuxake!

Eejit, try Cafe D around the corner on Featherston.  They used to do a half decent Bacon Sarnie (on toast).

How's my driving? - Whine here

First time I went into the cafe across the road from where I work and asked for a bacon sandwich, they looked at me like I was an escaped serial killer. Suppose there isn't much call for bacon sandwiches in Remuera.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

ahhhhhhh I see a potential business in bacon butties

I don't eat eggs and prefer just a bacon buttie!

I am sure there is a butcher in Lower Hutt that sells square sausage...I will let you know after I ask my dad

Ahh, bacon and eggs, now we're talking, the McDo bacon & egg McMuffin is very tasty, but the full works at a caf is great.  I'm lucky with a student canteen not far away so there's bacon a plenty, bacon buttie $2.60.

Student Canteen hmmm

I remember when I was at university in Northern Ireland you could get an Ulster Fry from the refectory - 2 eggs, 2 bacon, 2 sausages, beans, 2 soda bread, 2 potato bread for 1 pound 50p

Delicious and cheap, sure it was a cunning ploy by the uni to get the students in on time, as there was always a big queue for a such a decent feed.

Soda bread, this is magic.
There's only one place I know that does black pud, add black pudding to the student fare & I'd be there in a flash...
