Hi Nix fans,

My husband and I will be moving to Napier by the end of the year.  He's a NZ citizen, and I just got my permanent residency approved today. Yeah!!!

We're wondering if anyone knows someone who works in Real Estate in the Napier area.

Also, we can't wait to arrive and get to our first Phoenix game!!!

Cheers!

Happy to help.

Plenty of good properties available. If you need any help with the best suburbs i'm more than happy to assist the best I can.

Thanks! Any chance we could connect with you by email? Any info about Napier in general would be hugely appreciated.  I'm at stephgunther@hotmail.com

We'll be looking at short term rental when we first arrive, and then look for a place to buy.

Hey TFC, got a Toronto question. I'm visiting about this time next year. How long do you think I need to do the sights?

Hmm, totally depends on how much you want to do.  I'd say for sure, if you're coming to Toronto, you'll want to do the day trip to Niagara Falls. It's about a 2 hour drive (give or take a bit) with traffic.  In TO itself, did you want to go to a TFC game?  There's the usual stuff: CN Tower, Distillery District, Beaches, Toronto Islands, Entertainment District, Dundas Square etc etc.  I can send you more info once you know your dates and how long you'll be coming here for.  We should be in NZ by then. I believe that I've got a year to get there on my Permanent Resident Visa.
If you are going to a TFC game, I can get you in touch with some fans here.  They meet up pre-game, and I'm sure they'd be happy to welcome you to the group.

We haven't been, but I've heard mixed reports from people.  The aquarium itself is impressive, but it's WAY overcrowded.  Because it's so new, a lot of people are going to it.  Maybe by next summer it will be a bit less.

Expect LONG line ups for things like the aquarium, the CN Tower, Niagara Falls etc.  July and August is when all the kids are off for the summer here, so things get really busy.  Not trying to scare you off, just be sure to leave yourself enough time!
