Or a retro-ricki shirt.

Indeed.  A retro-ricki, the gift that keeps on giving.

(in my case they keep on giving me hangovers).

Decided then. Give her a Retro Ricki shirt, with a Phoenix scarf, a 6 pack, and a signed picture of the YF crew bearing their ripped bodies in -20 wellington weather.

Done.

Thats far more interesting and thoughtful than the $20.

For the most part young people are selfish, vindictive little sh*ts. Ones who carry out acts of selfless kindness should be showered with rewards.

Perhaps they (the young people ) in the "most part" only reflect the miserable, bitter, cynical and  sanctimonious attitude of these whose youth has long flown the coop!
I agree though a little gift wouldn't go amiss!

most people are c**ts, and that is a fact.

Where I work, there was a period of time where the 2 escalators into the building were not working, and 1 was completely blocked off.  This meant that people going up and down into the building had to walk the narrow, stationary escalator.  A number of times I got to this escalator and saw people already walking the opposite direction to me, leaving me with 2 options:

1) walk on regardless, and have that awkard, sideways shuffle past when we crossed
2) stand back and wait for the people to complete their walk, and then head off in my direction

Being a polite person (and a bit of a fat bastard), I took option 2, letting people complete their walk before setting off myself.  Over the 2 days the escalators left us in this situation, I must have stood back and let 10 people go before me - guess how many said "thanks" or even acknowledged my act?

None

Not one c**t.

Now I am not expecting people to be so thankful that they drop to their knees and suck me off, but a little head nod, or something to acknowledge my gesture would have been appreciated.

But, as I said earlier, people are c**ts.  Well done on having the luck to have dealt with one of the few decent people left Wolfben - make sure you let them know it is appreciated.

PS Please do not get me started on holding doors open for females.   GRRRRRRRRRRRR

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight

Yep Frankie, that would be right, just openning a door is bound to offend some one, somewhere.

As for a present, why not give her a ticket to this Sunday's game? You never know, you might convert her to a Nix fan and encourage her family along as well!
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

After nearly getting flattened whilst leaving the pub in Newtown last night by a couple of boy racers doing about a 140 k's in a souped up wankmobile with a muffler wider than the chimney at Marsden power station  and  sounding  like and elephant sneezing , i have decided that you are right they are selfish little gits !

I remember when going to Nelson to pick up a car I bought in February last year, I left my wallet with $200 in it on a seat outside the Ferry Terminal in Picton ... It was about 20 minutes before I realised I had left it there, by that time I was in town ... so me and my mate raced back to see if it was there (looking at all the seats cos we forgot what seat we were sittin on!), and as we were nearing the terminal, these two Brazilians asked me if my name was Brendon, I said yea and they handed over my wallet, still with the $200 in it ... I was amazed and astounded, so naturally I shouted them a few beers (could've been more than a few, but who counts ) , and also paid for both of them a night at the local backpackers  (where we also stayed)

Hooray for Brazilans ... and money and alcohol ... and girls to an extent
