What do you think?

Aus advantages:
Warmer
Better sense of humour
Higher pay
Larger population
More touring bands
Better looking people

Oz disadvantages:
Dangerous animals
Racism

NZ advantages:
Better scenery
Smaller scale

NZ disadvantages:
Cold
Wet

Hmm, looks like Oz is better. Did I work something out wrong?

Aussie has better sport teams and has cooler animals like snakes and crocs.

And should point out NZ isn't and hasn't been free of racism.

If New Zealand was not so Politically Correct and Culterally Sensitive (after all, we are all New Zealanders arn't we?) Then New Zealand would be as close a place to paradise in this modern world.

We have our own issues for sure but we are a lot better off than a lot of other countries. Dump the PC and CS and we'll be right.

Perhaps burning a never ratified waste of time treaty might be a good start? It does not enhance the modern society and seems more to hold us back from progressing in the future as we are constantly looking back and paying for mistakes made over50 - 150 years ago.
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

NZ by far.  Our problems are miniscule and any problems will be sorted out by the next oil strike off the Chathams.

I think the main difference is Aussies are more positive. They expect more and therefore quite often get more.
I expect more form the Nix this year than 'try hards"

I was going to have my Two Cents worth and mention that I really enjoyed my time living accross the ditch and that Kiwi's are quite a friendly bunch and I can see how the ANZAC still lives strong today almost 100 years down the track.

But then I remembered that wherever I am at the world at any given time, that place is only awesome because of ME! I'm sure that down the track good old UNZUD will once again become an awesome place, whether it be perminantly or even just a few weeks per year but for now Melbourne is the most awesome place on earth!

Are you packing your bags and heading over then News?

We already have a Kiwi Pie so maybe you'll have to be "Kiwi Pastie" or "Kiwi Shake'N'Dog" on the forums!

Yeah having gone back to NZ for three years after 12 away, I'd have to say it's gone down hill.
For sure it has the potential to be the best place in the world, but for lots of reasons now falls short. Hence back in Brisbane, which is a lot better than Melbourne

Australian Disadvantage: BRISBANE - Australia's Palmy!

Once again C-Diddy, you really should travel more.
If your statement was true then Melbourne would be Aussies Wanganui.  At least Melbourne is better than that hole, just

You're kidding right?

COL in NZ is about 20-40% more expensive than Oz. Mainly due to economies of scale as well as further to ship stuff from Asia (most imports I would imagine after Oz products)

I was back in Oz over Xmas and couldn't get over how much fresh produce was cheaper than NZ (and of better quality)

Standard of living you could argue is better here than Oz though. Less crime, less infrastructure issues (dependent of where you are comparing - but Sydneys trains are going down the gurgler whereas Wellington has fairly decent transport infrastructure)

When Hibs, went up, to win the Scottish Cup - I wisnae there - furfuxake!

Certainly things are more experisive (housing) and some are cheaper (i.e. produce).  If you use the classic McD's test then it is more expensive

I hope he was kidding.
How is the standard of living better than in Aus?
Less crime??????
Less infrastucture issues???
You  can't compare Sydney to Wellington, like comparing Christchurch to Gore in infrastructure demands.

Aus = Bigger, Americanised NZ. I love my mysterious, backwards blob of an Island somewhere a long way a way from the rest of the world

Yeah, I thought Nz was developing till they brought back Knights and Dames. LOL, waht the F**k is that????
Aus is not americanised NZ.
Its Australianised Australia, which thank God is a little better.
NZ doesn't really get a mention over here, I'd say it's about100 to 1, compared to how often the media in NZ mentions Aus.
I think NZ is finding it hard to punch above its weight like it used to.
