There was at one a trophy played for between AKL and WLG. Any idea if it still happens?

Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

I don't think I've heard of just a NZ series, but Auckland and Wellington-Hutt Valley teams play each other in the Australasian Gaelic Games alongside all the Australian state sides. Last year they were hosted in Auckland and I think Welly-Hutt kicked our asses, as did all the Aussie sides.

(I was invited to try out for the Auckland side, but I was third-choice keeper behind a local star and a chick who'd played county level in Ireland so I didn't try very hard.)
