Was an excellent day all round. Shane Warne - legend. The way he dealt with the crowd and showed a lot of time for signing autographs, posing for photos with kids etc was amazing. I always rated him as a bowler but not much as a person. However, this Shane Warne was a guy you'd be proud to know.
Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

It was an amazing day out in the sun! Great to see so many celebritys from NZ and abroad getting behind this great cause. Highlight for me: Tana bowling a slower ball an claiming the wicket of McMillan(? I think) and then catching a screamer in the very next over.

Didn't see this thread... re-post...

Fill the Basin was a superb event. Take a bow Stephen Flemming - over $500,000 raised. All involved, Cricket Wellington staff, sponsors etc put in a huge effort to make sure it ran smoothly and that it did.

Warney isn't such a bad bugger after all. I always use to despise him, naturally. But he had plenty of time for fans and basically anyone who wanted to talk to him. Didn't mind taking the piss out of himself too.

Fuck this stupid game
