Brumby's is about to dabble in some design stuff.









Now that you've recovered from laughing serious question: what is the font the Phoenix use on their kits for name, and number?

Most likely a custom typeface that the A League commissioned a typographer to do. Something condensed and gothic. The numbers are a bit different.

What exactly are you doing?

Its only as good as the fonts it knows, and like Linds said it's probably a custom job.

Ours is just a combined kick with any newbies for us and the Masters to see numbers and work out what we're doing.

Very, very unlikely.  We love that banner.

New website a possibility so may be some change then,

On banner, really? Love? Those lines in 'Yellow Fever' have been downsized without proper anti-aliasing so look wrong. and then there is that black square a lazy way to delete something.

The blank square is also a link to the Nix website... Just like the Nix logo next to it. which also links there.

Never noticed that blank square, now I can't not notice it.

If you've studied design you notice every little thing like that. It use to annoy me having an eye for it after I'd changed careers. Still do but not as much as before.

It wouldn't be hard for a designer to sharpen up that banner but I'm not sure the YF top dogs care to much.

The black square is a seperate item and for some reason the mechanism for changing it is screewed.  There is a perfectly good square that fits the full banner but it won't load, even when I try and change the html.

With Pancakes moving to Auckland we don't really have a web maintenance resource which is why we have some folks looking at redesign but it ain't a $10 job.

Yeah I mean you care less about it than other things. Which is fair enough. Web design is not a cheap service, maybe there's a web designer who frequents here that could help at discount rates?? :D

double spaces!!!!!! they are everywhere man, everywhere!! and then people triple space and some even fall asleep on the dam space bar i swear!

hyphen -
en dash �
em dash �

Too many businesses list their business hours with a hyphen, c'mon man you need to en dash that. Having said that, I have been caught out making grammatical errors.

On Typographers, those guys are train spotters.

grammatical errors are my forte  funny considering I always thought of myself as a copywriter when I was doing advertising at Uni lol.
