I've sneezed several times today and developed a slight cough after meals.

Three for me, and two for them.

Hope it is just a normal cold/flu Buffon, or did you apply plenty of pepper onto your meal??

Nope it was a curry no pepper. Cough has subsided for the mean time. Still sneezing a bit though.

I'm sick of everyone making such a fuss of this. Sure, it's a spamdemic. But it's not like it's the aporkalypse or anything. I wouldn't be surprised if most of the cases were just misdiagnosed forms of sowmanella actually.

No doubt Robb all will be revealed - damn wrong type of meat! Oh dear.

Seriously though, is this going to be another bird flu over hype when in reality it is just a standard type seasonal flu??

The point everyone is missing is that this is how 1918 started.. They are worried that it is going to mutate hence why they have these precautions. if it mutates it could come resistant to Tamiful, and even kill thousands.

Mutations and the ability to overcome antibiotics are a serious threat alright. Whatever man can come up with, mother nature can find a way around it.

And so everyone who says this is an over reaction is idiotic as it could mutate and kill at any moment, It may not but it bloody well could.

I actually hope it does mutate and it will show the silly media and members of the public of how this isn't an over reaction.

The Media are the ones causing the over reaction. And quite clearly it is an over reaction. Well I don't doubt there have to be people working to make sure it doesn't mutate and to contain it the scare mongering in the media is atrocious and unnesscary.

To put some perspective on things at this stage 0.000014000000000000001% of the worlds population are confirmed to have swine flu.

Thats so minutely small and yet the disease is rampant?

it's also exactly how bird flu started..i hope this peters out just like that did.

The W.H.O rate this flu as being capable of achieving pandemic status, but for now it hangs in the balance - at this stage it hasn't killed anyone in first world countries (besides a toddler who got into USA a few days before dying) and while they thought there were 190 deaths from Swine flu in Mexico, the W.H.O actually state that out of 190 deaths, only 7 were actually Swine flu. So regular seasonal flu has just as much chance as killing you for now.

and, SB you really wish for the deaths of thousands of people just to prove a point? one is scaling the heights of selfishness there.

I understand it is on the decline and is not being treated as seriously now other than in China and Korea.

Part of the reasoning being, that only 1 death has occured outside of Mexico, that being in Texas, a boy either 3 months or was it 3 years old?
