Politicians spending?

Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

Going back to Nick Smith's out of court settlement in June.... in which he received $209,000 of PUBLIC MONEY to help defend himself because -

MPs can apply to their Party Leader for assistance in defending legal proceedings taken against them in his or her capacity as a member of Parliament. The funds must approved by the Party Leader and the Speaker of the House, and come out of the Leader's budget (which is funded by Parliamentary Services). The funds are used to meet legal costs.
