Just out of interest:
If they're not allowed advertising on television on public holidays, why are they allowed it in the newspaper??

There wasn't a newspaper on Good Friday.

Because newspapers are the way of the future. Television is yesterday's news.
I was actually just wondering this about half a hour ago. Does radio have ads on?

Wouldn't the billboards at the rugby league and rugby also be a potential TV breach? Product2010-04-04 20:26:47

Yeah, true. We need Gourdie or Piney or someone in the know to fill us in.

it probably doesnt stretch past TV. I mean you could get ridiculous, the YF website would have to take their ads down etc. So there has to be a point where itd stop? guess it stops at TV.
Just taking a guess. Interesting Question, would like to know for sure.
Another guess is perhaps theyre already breaking the law by trading, and it comes under the same rule,so may as well advertise. This came from the fact that at the cinema we still play ads despite trading too. Same logic for a newspaper. A TV cant show ads because thatd be deemed as trading (or something along those lines),but showing TV programmes is not 'trading'
that makes sense in my head...not sure if explained it too well?
Any other random theories?
