Watched the first episode of AD last night. Loved it. Started off a little slow, but just got better and better, with more and more past refs returning.

Wellnik showed me an episode, mainly because the old woman person is voiced by the same person who plays Lucille Bluth on Arrested Development. It was much better than I expected it to be.

Ok... so I got that free month trial on netflix purely for AD and now I'm hooked. It's actually a really good service. Think I might keep it for a while.

Currently watching Parks & Recreations. Didn't really like it first time I watched it, but totally into it this time round. Ron Swanson is the man.

special prizes in the "How to survive a football forum" thread got me thinking about a cuddly toy.

Such as here at 5:30 onwards:

The Trinitron TV was awesome.  Very proud when we got our very own one in 1998.

Anyone seen 'Suits'? Personally love it, not screened on television here in New Zealand yet unfortunately but has received massive wraps in the US. It's a legal drama that isn't based in the courtroom. So much awesome.

I'm really enjoying season 3 of The Killing. By keeping it to 10 episodes the narrative is a lot tighter and there's fewer annoying red herrings than in season 1/2.

Mireille Enos and Joel Kinnaman must be two of the best actors on TV right now. Detective Holder might even be my favourite police character ever.

Season 1 & 2 still very good. Only 26 episodes to go until you find out whodunit!

I presume you're watching the American version? I preferred it to the Danish original which I only watched a few episodes of. The two American leads just better than the Danes.

Just finished this a while back.  Solidly recommend it for those who like their comedy a little bleak and a little black

Also, it has Lizzie Caplan in it who is awesome

I have just stumbled across the 2nd episode of "Death in Paradise" on Prime (now on).

It stars Ben Millar and Sara Martins:

I will be watching with great interest.

Also the theme song is "You're wondering now"

"How on earth does this get so many viewers?" Sara. Martins.

Ben Miller isn't that funny really - he was much better as Armstong & Miller.

Started watching the Jones Channel. The original "Mission Impossible" and "Bonanza". I have a new appreciation for both. Speical effects were minimal and very much reliant on acting and an interesting story. Well I enjoyed them.

Much love!
Waiting for the season to finish so I can watch the final 8 in quick succession.
***DON'T WORRY - NO SPOILERS***
If in the final episode, Walt goes into witness protection and ends up living with a recently widowed lady and her three young boys then the music for Malcolm in the middle starts playing........ you heard it here first!

Season 3 is very good but Breaking Bad is trumping it at the moment, a few episodes left and the past two have been mind blowing, the week wait between is quite tough as i got all the first four seasons + the first half of season five off a mate and basically watched one after the other.

Rebound on Rialto

The series based on the poorly recieved French film Les Revenants but this is fast becoming as unmissable as The Walking Dead. Also just to confuse it's called the The Returned in the UK.

It's a French series with Subtitles.

People in a small town are coming back from the dead but not your shambling zombies, these guys look and act, (sometimes), like they did before they died.

Why are they coming back?

It plays with classic themes from European folklore about the dead returning, angry, uncaring, selfish beings. So although called zombies they are a million miles away from Romero. The dead are jealous, hurt also and appear as perplexed as the living as to why they are here.

Cross The Walking Dead with Twin Peaks, throw in large scoops of Born With The Dead, the Robert Silverberg Novella. Also big nods to the classic Supernatural writers like Lovecraft, M.R. James and Clark Ashton Smith.

These infuences have helped to shape a very compelling series - You absolutely need to watch it from the start as you need to start unravilling the clues at the very begining.

Last night we caught the start of Stephen Fry's Planet World.

There was a clip of him standing in front of some chimps at what I was sure was Wgtn Zoo.  Sure enough: https://www.facebook.com/WgtnZoo/posts/107873222655069

Looks like a good doco.  Liked the bit about Nim Chimsky (goes back to my skool daze).

An American medical drama just gave me a quality LOL:

"Last night  I blew you off and now you're pissed at me" was the line.

On now.  "Gangsters" as background music (not sure if it is the Specials or other group).

And "Funky Kingston" (Toots & the Maytels)

Great programme.
