Don't if this is qualtiy yet, starts tonight:

Prime, Thursday 7 July, 8.30pm
Strike Back is an adrenaline-fuelled, six-part action series based on the international best-seller by Chris Ryan, ex-SAS soldier and Bravo two Zero veteran, featuring an all-star cast including Richard Armitage (Spooks), Andrew Lincoln (Afterlife) and Orla Brady (Mistresses).
A story of deception, redemption and revenge, all played out in the interlinked lives of two former soldiers; Major Hugh Collinson and discharged veteran John Porter. Their paths last crossed seven years ago. On the eve of the invasion of Iraq, John Porter led a special forces unit on a daring hostage rescue into the heart of Basra, and events overtook him with disastrous results. The decisions taken on that night inexorably unite the fate of both Porter and Collinson. Porter bears the burden of guilt and the repercussions haunt him for seven years, until an opportunity presents itself for him to return to Iraq and redeem himself. There is a new hostage crisis in the Middle East. Katie Dartmouth a brilliant young reporter, has been captured and her kidnappers are threatening to kill her unless Iraqi prisoners are released from British jails. Can Porter find her in time?
This series travels to Iraq, Zimbabwe and Afghanistan and interweaves the politics of war, with the lives of two very driven soldiers.

She had funny dotty eyebrows didn't she?

Wilma from Buck Rogers was the one I would like to get lost in space with.

Edit: That's Lt Wilma Deering I think.

[QUOTE=Wongo]Anybody remember American 60's show "Time Tunnel"?

Very Vaguely, I remember two guys in bright-coloured jump suits jumping in a tunnel and that's about it.

I remember it being a bit crap. Is that it? No time to google.

last night I downloaded and watched the first episode of a show called Wilfred.

Wow!

It is going to be a classic.  I suggest you jump on this bandwagon as soon as possible to ensure maximum "oh Wilfred?  yeah, I was watching that back in July 2011" when it becomes massive in NZ sometime next year.

yeah he's a grumpy little sod (unless you're meaning the Imp in Game of Thrones lol) but Contador has had a few crashes too many and Frank Schleck is riding better than his brother but never seems to want to leave him behind so I'm guessing no one will annihilate anyone like in previous years

yeah Tommy Voeckler is such a genuinely nice happy fellow i'd be happy to see him retain yellow all the way esp as my faves of Kloden and Virnakorov both crashed out last week. must admit tho i was a bit surprised that Voeckler actually accelerated the other day whn the media car wiped out Hoogerland and Flecha but I suppose all the cyclists are professionals and accept that medical personal are right at hand to help their fellow competators

I try to comprehend ladder of recent messages from this discussion, it appears that cycling, the Tour de France is being discussed, is it not? I see "Aussie" written above, I try to guess you speak of Cadel Evans, the excellent Australian cycling rider? I see "Twat" and try to understand it, but will pass for tonight.

Cadel is popular rider across Europe. I wish him well, Indurain was a special rider to me, his family raised not far from my home. This cycle race is special. I come to Antipodes, it is home for a little while, but not forever, I see Tour De France live on TV, it makes me happy.

When Miguel Indurain was dominating the tour we didn't get full coverage of it here in NZ. It's only been about 8-9yrs that the tv powers that be have realised it has an audience here in NZ and have  shown us every single stage(for many years we would jst have coverage of a cpl of mtn stages) - but I do remember seeing some of his tour victories

Many people (myself included) consider Cadel Evens to be a prat/twat/bad sportsman... possibly because we have this rivalry with most aussies but for me its because he was so unprofessional a cpl of years ago and was rude to the media and arrogant and grumpy. This tour many cyclists have had major crashes and carry injuries and might not have the form that is expected but they are still way more gracious than Cadel was in similar circumstances

The Water Margin - Fantastic, violent, one of the best things on TV in the 70's. I loved Lin Chong. Apparantly Lin Chong's nickname was "Panther Head" - cool.

Also the best theme tune ever sort of like James Bond but with a Japanese twist.

"The ancient sages said do not dispise the snake for having no horns...' - Very true

The book that it is taken from is a Chinese classic. I've read the English translation (penguin books) several times in my youth.

It is my favourite even better than Journey to the West and Dream of the Red Mansion.

The TV version looks so 70s cool!

Greetings to geologically diverse New Zealand, and happy, pleasant Sunday to all.

I recall this message of some days ago, I not understand wording 'twat' and only discover meaning of said word now! it is derogatory term and not pleasant!

I not understand what man who claims to be 'hard' has such anger towards bicycle rider. I notice that Cadel Evans, bicycle rider referred to as 'Aussie Twat' by alleged 'Hard' Seor, has won Tour de France. Cadel, under Tour de France etiquette, will not have another rider challenge on final day.

As I now understand message, Seor Hard News will be angry man on Sunday, may he be angry man on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, with anger to not finish until Thursday.

Adis!

Underbelly NZ: The Land of the Long Green Cloud doesn't seem to be as good as the Australian series. There are a few story overlaps with Underbelly: Tale of Two Cities; the above being a prequel to this series.

I know it was probably impossible but it would have been good if the same actors from Tale of Two Cities were in the NZ version. ie Terry Clark and Alison Dine characters etc.

End of Entourage, and I thought it really went out with a whimper.  In fact, the whole last season was pretty weak.  Don't want to say too much about the final episode as not sure if it has been on in NZ so don't want to *spoiler* ruin it for anyone.
