What's with the hype about the above & "The Girl Who Played With Fire" (& probably got her fingers burnt) novel/movie? Are they really that good?

Yes. Both.
Profile pic. Should you be interested. Lakhsen, on the right, lost touch with him.
Mohammed, on the left, I'm still in touch with. He's now living in Agadez, Niger. More focused on his animals now as tourism has dried up. Is active with a co-op promoting local goods, leather work and bijouterie, into Europe.

I have to say, YES they are. Second has a slower pace but they both worked for me.
Anecdote: Saw the first up at Brooklyn on the day when the pensioners get in cheap. The two next to me were superb. At the point where the heroine was giving a guy a kicking they both shouted on "go on girl give it to him.." Haven't heard any audience laugh that much in a while.

Yeah, ok I'm hearing that the movie(s)/novel(s) is pretty good, but why? What's the basic plot/theme? I don't know anything about the movie(s)/novel(s). All I've seen/heard is the hype.
