Livesport Radio - station closing after 7 years on air. Sad really, was nice to have an alternative to radio sport in the mornings.
Bye Telfs, don't let the door hit you on your way through.
Grumpy old bastard alert
Just seeing reports that Richie Benaud has passed away. A great commentator, amplified by the fact that Aussie cricket commentary has gone to the dogs since he left. RIP Richie 2 for 22
"...sure beats doin' stuff."
The 12th Man will be upset too. Although Ritchie was not a fan of the bad language, Billy Birmingham had his voice down pat. Struth, it's that bloody Max Walker.
As good a commentator as he was, he was also a very good cricketer.
RIP

RIP
Absolutely. Was a proper attacking batsman and a pressure bowler relying more on variations and bounce than spin (kind of like Vettori in that regard).
"...sure beats doin' stuff."
He also never lost a series as captain - including three Ashes series.
Bye Telfs, don't let the door hit you on your way through.
Telfs will be doing the 12-6pm Radio Live weekend sport show on Saturdays
And RIP Richie. Was the voice and will be missed.
Welcome back to the MCG for the second time today.

RIP Percy.

Great to see so many traditional rivals stand up and be counted with LFC and in doing so, support the fight for justice.
Transcends football.

RIP keith Harris......as much as I hated that green duck a big part of my younger years has disappeared now...rest well

Erroll Brown of Hot Chocolate. RIP
A gent. We had a brief chat on Tottenham Ct Rd. once. I asked what he was doing musically. "Weddings, mate. Got to pay the taxman." But his grin was huge.

I am sure that I am not the only OC who saw B. B. King play with U2 at Athletic Park in around 1990

It was 1989, I remember that as I had to convince my parents that it wouldn't interfere with my study for my upcoming School C exams!
The only reason I went to that concert was to see BB King , also saw him the year before on his own at the Michael Fowler Center, he was brilliant both times

Completely Well - Guess Who period of recordings is magical
Jemmott/ Lovelle Rhythm Section is literally on fire
The live stuff from then is greasy sweaty funky blues. Love it!
E's Flat Ah's Flat Too
I gave you 7 children... And now you want to give them back.
A lot of humour in BB's work.
E's Flat Ah's Flat Too
What got me about the man was how easy he made playing the guitar look. He hard looked like he was making any effort but the sound that came out was a complex mix sometimes. Brilliant guitarist. Clapton might have to do a remake for the funeral and do "While my Lucille gently weeps".
All tabs are pants. Avoid at all cost
Live at Cook County Jail is good to. I dig the horns.

Guitar World has the notation above the tab eh? :)
E's Flat Ah's Flat Too
Plenty of tabs around showing how to play his thang but there is no way in hell you can get close to the touch or feel of the master.

"Live at the Regal" is a good place to start for anyone interested
