RIP Max Bygraves, always a happy guy.
Only Leggy would be old enough to remember "Max Bygraves"
I remember Henry the V111 , so what is your point.

Speaking of Maxes...is Max Cryer still alive?
Speaking of Maxes...is Max Cryer still alive?
Pretty sure he is.
Terry Nutkins - good presenter, never boring to watch, mad hair. Raised a sea lion called Gemini. RIP.
Michael Clarke Duncan. Always had a great presence in his movies.

Yeah John Bond was quintessentially the 70's footy manager for me. It was also pretty sad seeing how old Paul Power looked with the tributes.
So I posted this song (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=10dmK7O-KSY) in another thread and then googled up Don Estelle after reading some of the comments. He had a Christchurch connection according to the wiki page: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Don_Estelle.
RIP lovely boy!
RIP Clive Dunn - Never one to Panic and they never liked it up em - aka Corporal Jones of Dads Army - 92 Years Old
Bill Tarmey, Jack from Corro.

Dallas star Larry Hagman. One of my favourites at the time. Also in' I dream of Jeannie.'
RIP
Former Chelsea and Man United manager Dave Sexton. He was appointed by Bertie Mee in 1966 to be Arsenal 1st team coach and in a couple of books I've read by Frank McLintock and Peter Storey, it was Sexton who basically ran the team and not Mee. He was regarded as a visionary back then and McLintock and Storey say he was one of the best coaches they ever worked under.
RIP.
Sven Hassel - I never read any of his books but my brother did and loved them, the covers were something out of this world. A mystery geezer as some said he never fought for the Nazi's against the Russians but Sven then produced documents that suggest he was a tank commander and did win his x2 iron crosses.
the finest exponent of war-porn that ever lived.
Gott in Himmel!
I looked on his wiki page and I must have read most of his books (not that I can remember any of the details).
War-porn as you say.
(budda-budda-budda. Arrggh! They got me sarge! Teufel! Take that Ivan. Hande-hoche Englander Schweinhund. etc etc.)
Huw LLoyd-Langton sometimes guitarist with Hawkwind and had his own band. A very nice bloke and friend to those that knew him. Never heard anyone say a bad word about him.
Check out Rocky Paths by Hawkwind on you tube, incredible track.
Steve Andrews, singer of Vas Deferens and well-known Wellington punk-about-town.

Good bloke, sad news.
Patrick Moore - TV astrologer aged 89years.
The Night Sky was his programme.
Ravi Shankar. He heavily influenced George and the rest of the Beatles, who in turn helped shape modern pop/rock/blues music and gave artists the ability to write their own songs (even when many many many shouldn't). His death leaves a pretty large void in the musical world.
One of his collaborations with Philip Glass:
Gerry Anderson creator of Thunderbirds............Parker was always my favourite !!
Tong Greig. 1946-2012. Hard and fast...right out of the meat of the bat...a great commentator.
RIP Greggy.
RIP. Always enjoyed his comments. Was a great player.

Yeah that - heard Chapelli saying they gave him a few months but all signs were positive following that until his ticker gave it up.
RIP big fella.
Roy Cox. RIP
A long time servant of football in New Zealand.
Mike Singleton - The guy who wrote The Lords of Midnight and Doomdark's Revenge those fantastic games for the ZX Spectrum. Strategy mixed with RPG elements. Many Games today doff a cap in Mike's direction,. He died a few months ago and I missed it as he was not very famous.
Great characters such as Farflame the Dragon Lord, Utarg of Utarg, Thormand the Fey... Just amazing games for the times. Truly a giant of the Golden age of Home Computers.
Gordon Mooney.
Drycleaner to NZ Football and anyone/everyone in Auckland football.
Mr Gordy used to run a drycleaners just off Dominion Road in Auckland where he converted one whole room to a Football Kingz shrine. He was the Kingz Mad Butcher, always talking the club, always in the middle of Bloc 5 and a lover of the game in New Zealand. Ventured off to the 2003 Confeds cup and followed the Kingz and All Whites all over the country and into Aus.
A great supporter of NZ Football.
Well said HN. And thank you for posting it on here, as i probably would not have known otherwise.
RIP Mr Gordy.

I think he featured once on Miles Davis and Martin Devlins show House of Football on Sky a few years back. Like you say, he was like the Kingz version of the Mad Butcher.
RIP
