Clutching at the one remaining bastion of Rugby Union dominance in this country.

Reckon the NZRFU are funding it in a vain attempt to remind us that this is where our priorities should lie ?  Farming and Rugby ?

Did anyone do that survey that wellington rugby sent out?

Had a question in it..."how many phoenix games did you attend last season?"

"how many are you likely to attend this season?"

Theyre clearly so so worried

Because people go to get wasted and have a lark with their mates, the same reason people in NZ go to ODIs

I think there's a mint to be made through cross-promotion here, Phoenix and Hurricanes/Lions.

But hey, that would mean mingling with those who like the egg-shaped ball sport, which would too much of a cross to bear for some in the Fever Zone.

And any attempt to out-sprint National Radio's Rural Report will always be seen as half-arsed, ill-informed and uninteresting. No amount of casual chit-chat about sport at the end of an interview will change that.

But I don't care since I usually switch over to something more interesting whenever it's on.

Not a bad idea if it can be made to work.

But mate...Sure some people are overly angst about rugby...But from experience i think its more certain rugby supporters bagging on "gay soccer" thatll have more of a problem with it. Nice try though.

I do think it could work with in between fans who dont really care what they go to (another way i was misquoted in saying they decide to attend phoenix games as theyre not primarily football supporters, but decide to try the sport as they enjoy or have heard about the atmosphere...argh...sorry...still not over it haha),but yeah it could work for those kind of sport fans, but i somehow doubt the rugby union would be too keen on this idea,as it would help us more than it helps them i feel.

Just don't like rugby. Sorry, can't really help it. No agenda, no posing, not trying to be cool  and alternative. Just don't like watching it. The end.
I like tautologies because I like them.
