new comedy sketch show on tv3 now (fri 9.30pm)

"Brought to you by the makers of broTown, RadiRadiRah riffs on the twisted reality of modern day life, mixing local with global, past with future, poking fun at popular culture and pushing the boundaries of prime time TV!"

loving the young emo Adolph strumming his guitar and singing his angst and really loving the samoans street workers

New Zealanders (apart from Park Life) are not funny.  Fact.

All I do is make the stuff I would've liked
Reference things I wanna watch, reference girls I wanna bite
Now I'm firefly like a burning kite
And yousa fake fuck like a fleshlight

the first half of the first series of flight of the conchords was pretty good, but then you realised that every eopisode was the same and it got a bit boring.  I saw a couple of episodes of the second series and it was sh*t so gave up.

Yeah, the sheep are funny.  Didn't like the birds.  Generally quite good, especially the animated stuff.  Better than previous attempts at Kiwi comedy.

This show has nothing on 7 Days, which is the funniest New Zealand show ever, in my opinion.

Big call that. Big call.

Three for me, and two for them.

I'd never seen 7days before tonight and some of it had me laughing really hard (mostly the mark leishman crack) but mostly it seemed a bunch of old guys cracking wise at one another... prob much how i imagine the white noise bus will be lol

Paul Ego may have something to do with that.

Nothing funnier immediately comes to mind. Sure it is a rip-off of a lot of similar British shows, but if you keep up with New Zealand current affairs it's a crack up. Of course there is the odd lowest common denominator race/sex/etc joke, but you're going to get that with improv. Considering Radirah is scripted it should be much funnier than it is, but everyone has a different view of what funny is - some people even find Friends funny!

I was quite disappointed with RadiRadiRah tbh maybe I was expecting too much with the names involved. Agree with Football that 7 Days is superior but can not label it "funniest New Zealand show ever", Eating Media Lunch for mine.

I think we went a whole 30secs before the first joke about gays in tonights episode of 7 days, that the Nathans hot dog contest was "the biggest sausage fest since Steve Gray left Good Morning"

When Hibs, went up, to win the Scottish Cup - I wisnae there - furfuxake!

Yeah, I love the show and I understand it takes the piss out of everyone (well, most people), but the fixation some of the comedians have with homosexuality is tiring. Strangely reminiscent of some of the columnists scorned on the media angst thread. Says something about insecure New Zealand male culture, I suppose.
