Anybody else watch this if so for those interested i have just watched the one on the mongrel mob on the net.Apparently it is not going to be shown in NZ as the mob made them agree to that before filming started.
An interesting watch can imagine the stink there would be if they showed it on TV here.
Glad some of them clowns arnt football fans.

yeah i just watched it myself,i don't think they portray themselves to favourably but, what gang does
it's not as bad as it used to be though i think it's the younger street gangs that look up that sort of violence we need to look out for, i remember the mob having their hui in porirua about 15 years ago one labour weekend, kept the police busy that's for sure.

Yeah as they said at the end "P" has had an effect on them.I was flatting in Auckland in the late 70s and we had a great a great view from our 1st floor balcony one nite of street battle between the mob and another gang,it went on for about 4 hours. Was great  at the time until they didnt appreciate our watching and decided a molotov in our direction would add to the fun.Kingsland in those days wasnt what it is today.

Did that guy know how to say a sentence without an F word in it?

Mind you, it is a gang after all. They displayed how small a world they live in, rather than looking ahead with an objective and progression, they showed they'd rather sit around, do crime, drink piss, take drugs and blame the rest of the world.

As a collective they could do more. I know guys in some part join a gang to be a part of a "family" but it appeared in that programe to be a dead end life style. If it was shown here in NZ, a lot of people would be wondering what it was all about.

That was sad.... You sort of want to say then to them. Mate you look like your 40 and you are still making dog sounds...

But then again saying that would be an easy way to get yourself killed.

You can probably use dial-up, but it'll take forever to download.

I was nearly in tears as I watched it, they are all so young. Makes me want to do social work. A lot of the clients I deal with are in low socioeconomic circumstances and I see so many kids high as a kite and about to have babies, it seriously breaks my heart,  a wack on the butt (not with a jug cord or a dryer) and a bit of structure, guidance and nutrition could do so much.
Also see that crap about the youth gang the "killer bees" on the news tonight? God I just get so angry at the state of things in this country, and so pissed off when people focus on giving money to other countries for aid. Sure they have issues but we need to help the children in new zealand that slip through the cracks and go on to violence like this before we help them.

Nice sentiment Smarah, but I don't think NZ foreign aid is much greater than 0.65% of GDP, so that's not really a justifiable target in my book.

The Killer Beez! PMSL. "We're not a violent gang" - Josh Masters, the leader of them. Weapons, drugs & dosh confiscated in the raids. If they are not violent, why need the weapons?

Sounds like a typical bunch of idiots today all wanting to impersonate those idiot gangsta rappas! Da drugs, da money da chicks!

Is that money that the government puts out or people independantly, think of all the children people are sponsoring overseas, they should be sponsoring kiwi kids who go to school without breakfast or who get the sh*t beaten out of them by their parents.

Ah I see...although even in that case, my guess is that people that give to charity tend to support causes both 'home' and 'abroad' anyway. Global citizens and all that.
