Most schools have students back 4th or 5th Feb. Depends on year level in many schools.

Monday, why that hell do I have to go on monday and tuesday then not go on wednesday? Why cant we just start of thursday.

State schools have an obligation to be open a certain number of days I believe.

Haha, I think he just doesn't see the point in having two days then another holiday. I don't either but I guess it means they dont have to add two days at an odd time later in the year. I think they want each term to finish on a Friday.

For the first time in 12 years I am not awaiting the start of school, it's a nice experience. I'll start feeling terror when it comes to o-week though.

If you are feeling any terror ahead of Orientation that will soon disappear as you'll be too wasted to feel anything.

First week of uni? sh*t that's half my problem, I don't normally rock up until weeks 2 or 3! Unforuntately I got talked with the "it looks good on your CV" specch into working during orientation as a guide, look out Massey, footy fever is about to go epic!

Yay I'm excited that there is somebody else on this planet goin to Massey!! it's my first year as a student midwife this year!
 
When does O-week start because my first day at uni is the 18th of Feb.
 
I'll definately be looking for the football in o-week!

As a commerce graduate I can give you a whole sh*tload more.

Commerce is the new Arts.  Useless for finding work unless you do one of the professional disciplines (MOFI, ACCY, ECON).  Otherwise completely pointless.

What are you studying?

Nope. Of course, since I'll be a second year it won't be as exciting for me (third year if you count my first attempt in 2005, and if you count AUT as a university!)

It's lectures you needn't bother with.

It's like you, me and News.  We attend work, we just don't work while we're there...

Uni's are starting to overbook lecture theaters expecting most people to not attend lectures. First day in BIOL114, people had to leave the room because there wasn't even enough room on the stairwells!

PS Vic students, there's a Phoenix group on myVictoria. Pretty raw though, needs some work (says the guy who works on it )
