Not worth the effort. They're more likely to spew on you and then give you a good time.

Yeah, despite the atrociously dressed people, Sevens isn't too different from the Races. There were just as many atrociously dressed people at the Races the weekend before...

But on a positive note, you can spot a RR from anywhere in the Caketin - they stand out amidst all the people.

Great night from the sevens, I saw two guys dressed up in Phoenix gear (socks, shorts, shirt) one of them was smeltz and one was elrich, and they had the numbers on the shorts and everything.

Saw a group of about 5 Retro's in the crowd. It was a plesent site.

Ahh haha ok. Nice kit. Where did you steal the shorts and socks from?

I was with quite a few Phoenix staff, so we had the actual players' kits. From memory there was an Elrich, Smeltz, Ferrante, Christie, O'Dor, Old and Lochhead (possibly more).

I wanted George but the kit wasn't forthcoming.

Yeah I managed to get a Sony digital moment with some of you - will post is if I can be bothered getting around to it. You could spot the RRs from the other side of the Caketin/Ring of Fire/Stadium, it was great.

Next time someone complains about the Phoenix crowds, quote them this from today's DomPost:

Police operations commander for the event, Inspector Kevin Riordan, said he was "reasonably pleased" with crowd behaviour at the sevens.

"It was noisy and colourful, but most people seemed to have a good night."

Police arrested 30 people at the stadium during the two days and evicted 76 people.

A further 32 people were arrested in the city between 10.30pm and 7am, mostly for disorder and alcohol offences, Mr Riordan said.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Time for an equivalency test.

The 7's goes for two days. Therefore 15 arrest per day.

Aprrox 3 times as many people go to the 7's as the nix.  Thus at each nix game day there should be 5 arrests at the stadium.

however, the 7's go for approx 8 hours a day while a nix game is two hours. Thus in the two hour period there should be 1.25 arrests.

Therefore is the nix supporters are so bad then we 'expect' 1.25 nix supporters to be arrested at each home game.  Did anyone get attested at any nix game this year?
