SPARC Sport Volunteer Awards eCard

Know a sport volunteer doing a great job?

Do they deserve to be thanked for the time and energy they put into grassroots sport in your community?

You bet!

Nominate a volunteer for a SPARC Sport Volunteer Award by sending them a thank-you e-card. The SPARC Sport Volunteer Awards will also present Lifetime Achievement Awards (25+ years of sport volunteering) and Watties Student Sport Volunteer Awards (18 or younger). One winner will be selected for each award category in each region (see entry form for regions).

You can nominate any school, club or event volunteer (teachers, parents, grandparents, friends, young people).

There are great prizes for the winning volunteers so give your favourite volunteers a big thank-you!

Nominations close midnight, 23 August, 2011.

Sport Wellington will be holding a breakfast for the regional finalists at the new Indoor Community Sports Centre on Wed 21 Sept..
You can nominate as many times as you like- how about nominating your captain or coach who volunteers their time to get you off the couch and onto the park!

Back on topic...we are running an 'unofficial' competition to see what code gets the most nominations in nationwide. Last year Netball edged out Football, 1690 noms. to 1050.
Will you stand idly by and let that happen again?

& we are also trying to see what region puts up the most noms. currently Hawkes Bay is kicking Wgtn's behind- C'mon wgtn!

we ended up with 330 nominations in the Wgtn region- stunning stuff. Everyone of those nominations recieved an e--card thanking them for their work from Sparc. We now go to work to whittle down to ten finalists for each category with a panel of expert judges meeting on Sep. 5th to decide winners. From then onwards we'll be able to announce the finalists, and they will be invited to attend the awards breakfast on 21 Sept.

cheers

Do the nominators get an invite too? Mostly because I put the NOM in nominator.

By the way Salmon, looking very suave on Saturday, pity I couldn't find you later on for a catch up!
