How long does it take NZ Police to process a speed ticket via a speed camera? Am pretty confident I got snapped this evening, but maybe if I murder a baby or two, they might decide to not follow it up.

My one and only (from which i have learnt my lesson) took 8 days. Although that was 6 or 7 years ago.

I guess it depends on how fast you were going. Coz you can lose your license if it was too fast. Don't speed silly, I was first on the scene once when a pedestrian got hit by a speeding car and it took me a few months to get over it. It's not pretty.

If you think you got caught, you probably did. Also, when you see one, speeding up the hide behind other cars does not work. You get a heavier fine.

Mine took about 2 weeks to come through. You know exactly what it is because it has your name IN BIG BOLD WRITING

For the record, I don't want to murder any babies.

It was merely a shot at the New Zealand Police.

Er...excuse me, I have to make a few phone calls.

Not of a camera.  Normally there are no demerits off a camera as all they can prove is that it's your car, not who was driving.

How's my driving? - Whine here

And god bless that fact.

In Austraaaaaaalia it is presumed to be you driving your car unless you can prove otherwise.

Which does promote care in lending others your car.  It also promotes a vigorous black market in demerit points.  As in: "I'll give you 500 bucks if you take these speed camera demerit points for me because if you don't I'll lose my licence for 3 months."

Lucrative.  Or so I'm told.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Oh and in relation to your original question Granville if you haven't seen a notice within 6 weeks you're probably safe.

It is quite common to get snapped but not fined as they fine based on percentiles.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

I always write in and ask for the photo to assist with a dispute over who was driving....but really just to cost them extra money to produce and post the picture and so I can add it to my collection.....

Normally takes 2-3 weeks but can take up to 5 - and no demerits off a static camera fine in NZ....although they debated changing this when they increased the demerit points brackets recently.

Apparently after a certain speed, the camera's don't detect you. In England its about 130mph. whats that in kmh?
